Red-footed boobies in a tree. Listen for the call of the landing red-footed boobies; it is a very weird call. I love the part where the camera zooms in and the booby cocks its head as well: PRICELESS! This trip to Ecuador was offered by the University of Wyoming and was a week study down in the Galapagos Islands. This video was taken on January 5th, 2009 on the Island of Genovesa (Tower) in the Galapagos Islands. Red-footed boobies are very different!

I was watching a movie about a guy named Darwin who visited the Galapagos Islands. He studied the animals and one of the cute animals was a sharp beak ground finch. It is one of the smaller birds. I really want one! It is so cute!!!!

I never imagined getting so close to a hawk, but that is what makes the Galapagos so magical, a clip from “Gringo in the Galapagos”, theIntrepid Berkeley Explorer’s free video featuring Ecuador’s Highlands, the Jungle, and then out to the Galapagos Islands for personal visits with animals of many kinds that are not scared of humans.
